Aamir Khan is leaving no stones unturned to make his upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha a global event.
An official Hindi remake of 1994 Hollywood cult classic Forrest Gump, Laal Singh Chaddha has landed in controversy with a section of people on social media calling for its boycott.

While the film is facing protest in India, Hollywood is backing the Aamir Khan starrer as a major studio like Paramount Pictures is distributing the film worldwide.
That’s not all, the official pages of Paramount Pictures & Forrest Gump are also promoting the film on social media accounts garnering the attention of the audiences in the west.
Amid all this, Aamir has pulled off another masterstroke by arranging a press screening for the Hollywood media.
Sharing the details, Hollywood film journalist Josh Hurtado for Screen Anarchy tweeted, “Wow. LAAL SINGH CHADDHA is getting a local press screening. I’ve been writing about Indian films for 12 years and I’ve NEVER seen a press screening outside of NYC.”

Reacting to his tweet, one user wrote, “I was wondering if Paramount’s connection to the movie was going to be meaningful, and I guess it is.”
Another user replied, “Here also, for the first time in history – Indian movie got promoted by @UIPMoviesID – Paramount, and mostly will get wider release. Usually Indian movies just had a few screens across Indonesia.”

During a recent press interaction, Aamir opened up about showing the film to Tom Hanks & further revealed how Paramount Pictures is making sure the Hindi remake gets a huge release overseas including China.
He said, “The Paramount Pictures team has watched the film. They liked the film so much that they insisted that they’d like to release the film all over the world. In India, Viacom18 will be releasing it.”

Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Manav Vij & marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya.
The film is slated to release worldwide on August 11, 2022.
