The story itself, no doubt inspired by The Neon Demon, charts a grieving pianist’s recruitment into an elite wellness company, where beauty secretly comes at a nightmarish price.
The search is currently underway for a writer, while it’s said that an Asian-American female will play the protagonist – but not Wu.
While we await further updates on Natural Beauty, did you catch the latest word on Yellowjackets season 2?
Co-showrunners Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson confirmed that filming will finally begin at the end of this month, meaning “we’re looking into the first quarter of 2023” in terms of an airdate.
“We are on a very similar production track in terms of time as we were last season, although, of course, we have to shoot an additional episode because we had already shot the pilot the last time,” Lyle said. “I believe that we are going to finish shooting in about February and we’ll be airing sometime shortly after that.”
Nickerson chipped in with, “Nobody wanted to get back on the air quickly more than we did. But we really rolled directly from finishing up season 1 into season 2. It’s a deeply serialised story and we wanted to make sure we didn’t rush it, and that we got it right. And so this was the earliest we could accomplish that.”
Yellowjackets is available on Sky and NOW in the UK, and Showtime in the US.
