Reservation Dogs
Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi has teamed up with Native American director Sterlin Harjo to co-create this comedy series in which every writer, director, and series regular on the show is Indigenous. The story follows the exploits of four teens in rural Oklahoma who will do almost anything to get to the seemingly exotic and faraway land of California. One year ago, Daniel, the fifth member of the Reservation Dogs gang, died. Struggling to make sense of the loss, the four blame their small town and they decide to honour Daniel by adopting his dream of getting to California as their own. To succeed, they will have to save enough money, outmanoeuvre the drug addicts at the junkyard on the edge of town, constantly dodge the conspiracy-obsessed horseman Big (Zahn McClarnon) and survive a turf war against a much tougher rival gang, led by the enigmatic Jackie (Elva Guerra).
