Old British TV shows are giving Netflix originals a run for their money after the BBC’s Skripal poisoning drama was among the US streaming giant’s most-watched titles over Christmas.
The Salisbury Poisonings debuted on BBC1 last year and has been on iPlayer for more than 18 months but Britons are discovering the three-part series for the first time on Netflix.
A surge in interest in the drama propelled it into fourth place in Netflix’s top ten TV shows in the UK during the week to December 26. The programme also featured in the previous week’s ranking.
