The Return of Glen/Glenda? The Cast of “Chucky” Share Their Hopes for Season 2 [Video]

The horror slate is already looking stacked in 2022 for both movies and video games, but the genre content doesn’t stop there. The 2022 TV series lineup ensures another insanely busy year for the genre. Returning shows like “Stranger Things” and the final season of “The Walking Dead” will make huge waves, and hopefully, we’ll also see the second season of “Chucky.”

But there’s a slew of brand new shows on the horizon as well… 

Here are seven that we can’t wait to see this year.

All of Us Are Dead – January 28 on Netflix

This upcoming series looks massive in scale and high on action-horror. A zombie outbreak sees students inside a school fighting to survive, and the infected move fast. The Korean series is based on a webcomic and was created by Lee JQ, Chun Sung-il, and Kim Nam-su.

From – February 20 on Epix

The trailer teases a mystery box series with a monster twist. It follows a nightmarish town in middle America that traps all those passing through. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest. “From” stars Harold Perrineau.

Shining Vale – March 6 on Starz

Courtney Cox, Mira Sorvino, and Greg Kinnear star in this genre-bending horror-comedy about a dysfunctional family that moves into a house where tragedy occurred. Everyone has demons, but they might be real for Pat (Cox). If only her family believed her. 

Interview with the Vampire – Late 2022 on AMC

Interview with the Vampire (1994)

Showrunner Rolin Jones (“Friday Night Lights”) creates and writes the series based on the late Anne Rice’s popular vampire saga. It centers on vampires Louis and Lestat, characters played by Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in the 1996 feature film directed by Neil Jordan. The series will come to AMC and AMC+ in late 2022, along with “Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches.” 

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities – TBD on Netflix

Guillermo del Toro has curated quite an impressive lineup for this live-action anthology series arriving on Netflix sometime this year. Episode directors for the series will include Panos Cosmatos (Mandy), Jennifer Kent (The Babadook), Vincenzo Natali (Splice), and David Prior (The Empty Man). The cast is just as impressive, with a couple stories set to adapt H.P. Lovecraft.

The Sandman – TBD on Netflix

“The Sandman” is a new dark fantasy series based on the comic book series created for DC by Neil Gaiman (Good Omens, Coraline). Gaiman is Executive Producer and Co-Writer. A rich blend of modern myth and dark fantasy, contemporary fiction, historical drama, and legend, the series follows the people and places affected by Morpheus, the Dream King, as he mends the cosmic mistakes he’s made during his vast existence. 

The Midnight Club – TBD on Netflix

A new horror series from Mike Flanagan and Trevor Macy (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass) based on the creative works of bestselling author Christopher Pike, including the same-titled The Midnight Club. The YA book saw a group of terminally ill young adults gather each night at midnight in their hospice to tell scary stories. Expect Flanagan to remix the novel with multiple Pike works. Heather Langenkamp stars as the enigmatic doctor in charge.
